PET/CT (Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography) is an imaging technology used to more accurately diagnose and identify cancer, determine the extent of the disease, and prescribe and monitor treatment.

Dr. Elizabeth Rinehart Recognized for Outstanding Leadership in Cancer Care

We are proud to share that Elizabeth Rinehart, MD, has been named a 2025 Cancer Liaison Physician (CLP) Outstanding Performance Award winner by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC).

This prestigious recognition, awarded to just 10 physicians nationwide, honors Dr. Rinehart’s exceptional commitment to improving cancer care quality and outcomes at Waterbury Hospital and HLRCC.

As part of this national recognition, Dr. Rinehart will be featured in multiple American College of Surgeons publications, including the Cancer Programs News newsletter and official CoC communications, and will be honored at the CoC Fall Meetings.
