The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center was honored by the American Cancer Society with a special recognition award for its long-standing support of Relay For Life. The award, presented during the 2025 Greater Waterbury Relay For Life event, acknowledges Leever’s continued dedication to the cause and its commitment to supporting cancer patients and survivors in the community.
The engraved plaque reads:
“Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center – Thank You For Your Continued Dedication – June 14, 2025.”
Leever has been a proud sponsor of Relay For Life for many years, supporting the event’s mission to honor cancer survivors, remember lost loved ones, and raise funds for cancer research and patient services. Leever’s participation reflects its mission to improve the health of the Greater Waterbury community by creating and fostering a patient and family-centered approach to high quality cancer care.
“We’re deeply grateful for this recognition from the American Cancer Society,” said Parkinson. “Our partnership with Relay For Life is an extension of our daily work—to support patients and their families at every step of the cancer journey.”
